Health Technician

Some of the duties and responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):
Provides orientation to new patients by explaining policies and procedures Reviews progress with individual patients on short and long range goals for care planning purposes Provides individual counseling using a guidance model and applying past experience and knowledge of problems Receives and directs patients and visitors, and responds to routine inquiries Uses scheduling menus to schedule appointments and generate appointment reminder letters for patients Administers vaccinations and medications within scope Performs and transmits EKGs Completes and reviews patient documentation in a computerized patient record system and processes orders Performs other related duties as assigned Work Schedule:

Applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Qualifications:
Possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service performing the following duties:
working in a hospital or medical center providing direct patient care, including patient counseling and interviewing; performing patient admission and outpatient processing; communicating with patients and staff in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner; and performing simple wound care to patients for minor injuries. Qualifications:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
